Here's a giant load of BS- - mikebw - 07-20-2016 Just got an email from FiOS: Verizon FiOS wrote: Oh really? I need to start paying you MORE to continue using the hardware you gave me to use with your service?! How about you just give me the model that you ARE supporting and we call it even? Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - Mr Downtown - 07-20-2016 That's some weapons-grade chutzpah, there. Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - OWC Jamie - 07-20-2016 What do they do for the $2.80 make sure it's not lonely while you are sleeping ? Cut out service repeatedly so it resets ? Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - NewtonMP2100 - 07-20-2016 .......noticed a lot of providers are doing the same.....making old equipment obsolete....forcing you to upgrade.......for more expensive equipment.......sounds familiar.......??? Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - wurm - 07-20-2016 I wonder what would happen if you said you could buy one on your own for say, $40. Or better yet, that you already upgraded. Would definitely like to replace with my own. Haven't started looking yet- any suggestions? Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - Robert M - 07-20-2016 Mike, I'll take the load of horsepucky Verizon gave you and raise you a cart of stinky cowpie. Cablevision is the primary provider for access to the Internet and such in my area. They are the provider for my office. Out of the blue, they decided to implement a monthly rental fee for our existing cable modem. The age and model has no bearing on it. They just decided it was time to charge us a rental fee for it. Definite cash grab. Robert Re: Here's a giant load of BS- - Speedy - 07-20-2016 This is what class action lawsuits are designed to prevent. Unfortunately, your local cable monopoly has a service agreement that you signed that allows them to raise prices on everything, no reason needed. Best to just bend over and take it. I am just exponentially more averse to the Comcrap alternative.
