Does anyone have PG&E as a gas provider? - freeradical - 07-20-2016 Apparently, I have no payment due because of a "gas adjustment", and I have a credit balance. Has this happened to anyone else with PG&E? In any case, my entire gas charge for the last billing cycle was $9.07 - shockingly low... Contrast this with my electric provider SMUD, who proclaim: SMUD is your community-owned and not-for-profit electric service My current "system infrastructure fixed charge" with SMUD is now $18 a month. This is what they bill me before providing me with any electricity. This started out as $2 per month about 15 years ago...they said it was only temporary. SMUD is worse than Comcast. Wow, they sure have figured out how to pull the wool over the regulators eyes... IMHO, they should get rid of the regressive surcharge and add another tier or two if needed. A surcharge certainly isn't green - up to a point, the more you use, the less you pay. Let the energy hogs with the mini mansions pay through the nose for AC. |
