Re: Quick favor. Just captured an injured seagull - A-Polly - 09-08-2016 Probably too late to be useful, but found this: WILDLIFE EMERGENCY SERVICES 866.WILD.911 (California hotline that connects you to a wildlife rescue organization near you) and there are more suggestions and helpful tips here: https://www.bird-rescue.org/contact/found-a-bird/helping-a-debilitated-bird.aspx Good luck. Re: Quick favor. Just captured an injured seagull - Onamuji - 09-08-2016 Should caution you that when I found an injured sea bird and tried to get it some help, I was instructed by the local bird shelter that they would not take injured birds that were not raptors or endangered for fear of parasites getting to their other birds. Not even the local animal services agency would take it. They said that if it appeared to be ill with a nasty disease they'd euthanize it, but they'd leave injured birds for the local predators and scavengers. Ended up leaving it with a vet who said that she'd look at it, but would not let it in the door and would most likely put it down as -- like the shelter -- she was concerned about parasites.
