What I learned while flashing a Pioneer DVR 108 - Monster - 09-26-2006

With all the talk the other day about flashing a Pioneer DVR 108, I thought I might as well do it, it was Firmware version 1.14.

So I tried, and tried, re-downloaded everything, tried again, wrote the command this way and that, WTF?

Then I realized I had the Pioneer plugged into the USB 2 port, and I said to myself,

"Monster, you dumbass, use Firewire and I bet it will work the first time"

and sure enough, it did, 1.14 to 1.20

*%^^*(&*#@**!! USB 2

and that is why the 100K digital high speed video gear I use has FW instead of USB2. All but 1 manufacturer uses FW as the primary interface.
