RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - MrNoBody - 12-31-2016 Apple Store example: $589 Refurbished Mac Mini 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 (DC) 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, TB2 ports, & HDMI - Intel Iris Graphics Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - Forrest - 12-31-2016 Not much of a deal on that Mini - Microcenter is selling that same model, new, for $599.99 Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - NewtonMP2100 - 12-31-2016 .....just looking at the dates when the machines were introduced leave you Gobsmacked......2014....?? Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - space-time - 12-31-2016 NewtonMP2100 wrote: yes, in fact 2012 are in more demand: upgradeable RAM, QUAD core models, and I think also easier to upgrade internal drives. I seem to remember that some 2014 models are more difficult to swap internal drives. Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - Lew Zealand - 12-31-2016 You get 2x 2.5" SATA drive bays in a 2012 and only 1x 2.5" drive bay in a 2014 Mini. The second bay is used for the 4x as fast blade SSD but reduces the flexibility of configurations and upgrades. Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - Numo - 12-31-2016 I am looking around for a new iMac. How about this: Refurbished 21.5-inch iMac 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 Originally released September 2013 21.5-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology; 1920-by-1080 resolution 8GB memory 1TB hard drive $1,059.00 Or Refurbished 21.5-inch iMac 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5 8 GB, 1 TB HD $1,099.00 Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - jdc - 12-31-2016 Ammo wrote: What do you have now? You really want something with a fusion drive -- not just a plain HDD. Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - Filliam H. Muffman - 12-31-2016 Ammo wrote: The screens are IPS but they are pretty small. You will likely need computer glasses if you are over 40. The second one DOES have new enough graphics to properly run a 4K display, but both are limited to 16 GB of RAM. Even though they frequently have overheating issues I always recommend an iMac with a discrete GPU for long term usability. Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - h linamen - 12-31-2016 A great deal at B&H - $1199 for a brand new 27" iMac (2013) 3.2GHz and 1 TB drive. Bought one a month ago and it is great. Not much difference between 2013 and the latest model 2015. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=apple+27%22&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&typedValue=&Top+Nav-Search= Ammo wrote: Re: RE-STOCKED: Apple Store Refurbs - Numo - 12-31-2016 My current computer is a very old (10 years?) Mini that's way too slow to be useful. Here's a new (late 2015) imac at B&H for about the same money: 21.5" LED-Backlit IPS Display 1920 x 1080 Screen Resolution 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 Dual-Core 8GB of 1867 MHz LPDDR3 Onboard RAM $1,099 + 166 for 16 GB RAM |
