Mmmmmm, I'm sick of looking at nose hair, so I'm not sure this is a positive for anything but nature and scenery, and CGI.

And anybody over 35 won't be able to tell the difference between 4K & 8K.

8K is not mature until there is a "single" GPU solution that can run games on it. At least the HDMI specification got updated.

You would have enjoyed my 42" plasma - 640x480.

Heh, so just a bit larger than .05" x .05" per pixel I figure, not accounting for pixel pitch. Versus what, .017" for HD? .008" for 4K?

Re: 8K matures at CES - sekker - 01-06-2017

I spent years using the original commercial plasma screen - 512 x 512 glorious orange pixels on an 8 inch flat black touch screen called PLATO.

8k? I can distinguish between 1080p and 4k but I doubt visual acuity will allow most people to discern 4k from 8k.
