"All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - 3d - 02-02-2017 My "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud contract is almost up. It looks like my promo price will go up from $30/mo. to $50/mo. What are you currently paying for "All Apps" CC? I don't see any online promo packages currently offered. Before contacting Adobe, any luck negotiating the price? And what's a reasonable discounted rate? Has anyone had any luck getting it back down to the original $30/mo.? Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - bik - 02-02-2017 I already canceled and started again with a new email address to get the $29 rate for a second year. I doubt I'll do that again. Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver are the three I use the most. Affinity Photo and Designer are looking ready for another serious try. Dreamweaver can be easily replaced by a number of options. And my old CS4 apps still launch on Sierra. Zero chance I will ever pay $50 a month for their cloud. Once I am happy with my replacements, zero chance that I will ever go back to Adobe even if they start getting nervous and start making amends for their extortion. PS - Also, if you go in to cancel your account, they will give you three months free to think about it. At least that's what happened when I went to cancel a couple months ago. Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - 3d - 02-02-2017 Do you remember if that $29 rate was advertised on the site? Or offered to you by customer service to stay? I'm not seeing any offers as of today. And they have not sent me any renewal reminders/offers to stay on. The customer service agent I spoke with this morning said that the moment I cancel the annual plan, the programs will stop working immediately. Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - bik - 02-02-2017 At the time, $29 was still the introductory rate for new one-year subscriptions. But that was almost 15 months ago. When I went to cancel a couple months ago, that was meant to be the end for me, so I wasn't paying attention to the price. But they offered me 3 months free to reconsider, so I took it. ### When you spoke with customer service, they didn't offer you any alternatives? If I go to the site right now and begin the process of canceling, There is a point where they want to chat and offer me another plan. (I chose "too expensive" as my reason for canceling. Did you start a canceling process or did you just call customer service? Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - 3d - 02-02-2017 I just chatted with customer service this morning. Person seemed pretty clueless. Q: "So when my $29.99/mo. annual plan ends how much will the new price be? Are there any offers with special pricing to retain customers?" A: "There are currently no offers from Adobe. The new price will be what you see online." VERY STRANGE response. We have two licenses here in the office. We are definitely canceling one of them no matter what. So I can play hardball with that one as a test to see how far they go. Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - max - 02-02-2017 I pay $0,00 CS6 is still perfectly functional and I have seen nothin in the CC that warranted spending even an additional dollar. There was one function that motivated me to move from CS5 to 6 and since the upgrade did not cost me a penny either, I did, but I see no need to whatsoever to support CC churning... Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - bik - 02-02-2017 I would start the process of canceling online and see what happens. They probably wouldn't offer me 3 free months again, but if I go to the Adobe site right now, at the very worst, they are offering me the $50 plan including Adobe Stock (as opposed to the regular $50 plan without Stock, or the regular $80 plan with Adobe Stock). That's just what the web site is offering without me clicking the link to chat and "find a solution before canceling." Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. And I find it weird to keep asking clients to downsave the files so i can open them. Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. What are you paying for CC? - Uncle Wig - 02-02-2017 Zero, and I won't. Not as long as I can run my CS5 and Lightroom 6. I wish I had bought CS 6 when I still could, but I'm such a light user of it it would've been hard to justify. Re: "All Apps" Adobe Creative Cloud almost up. Does anyone remember what was the retail price on this from Adobe when it was still for sale? |
