I have their Creative Kit and had a chance yesterday to use their DeNoiser which worked really well on a large 30x20 image I was preparing for a canvas wrap. Here's their comparison of Luminar to Lightroom and Aperture:

Adobe had better stop treating the customers like a trough - competitors are improving fast and people are DYING for alternatives.

Yes, I never got this trend, even when I worked in software UI design. It's the first thing I get rid of, if the UI is customizable.
