More LG monitor sadness - M A V I C - 02-06-2017

This 27UD88-W has a pair of USB3 ports. Great. One of them is even high power. That's great for recharging devices.

But there's a catch. When you enable high power, my Apple wired keyboard stops working. Why? Because when high power is enabled for one port, both ports lose data.

Their website says "USB 3.0 Quick Charge Yes (x1, PD, DP Alt. Mode, Data), UHD@60Hz"

Better send that garbage to me and get yourself something better. I'll pay for shipping.

Do you already have the other 2 ports on the MBP full with dongles?

Seems terribly cludgey and reminiscent of device port/cable functionality from the mid-80s, only instead of a different port for every function you have the same port for every function but not all functions are compatible with each other...

Who are the brilliant engineers who thought this one through to its ultimate conclusion, that it might make more sense to have different ports do different things (particularly with respect to, say, charging/powering your device.)

I'm closer. No shipping or packing drama either. Sorry!
