A different tax question - Psurfer - 10-09-2006

Not sure I want to attempt doing my '05 Federal taxes online w/Tax Act.
I did '04 using TaxCut sw, which is no longer made for mac.
I have some sched D, etc stuff from '04 to carry-over to '05. I suspect this data only equals a few lines to be copied over on the 1040, but I am NO expert (obviously).

What might be the least painful way for me to get this '05 return done? import old '04 TaxCut return into ...what program or online svc? Or will Tax Act online be obvious enough as to what I have to copy over, etc?

Looks like we've lost the accounting advisors on this forum...

I used TaxAct online for the first time last year. From what I remember, I'll bet it would ask you enough questions so that you could tell pretty quickly if it will offer you the options you need for copying info over. It's free, right? Nothing to lose but a little time. Then you'll know.
