On TV or on the big screen?

Haven't noticed what's going on "At the movies", but I have noticed that SciFi in particular has been running more than ever before....

Business as usual -- the studios tend to stack the release schedule with them around Halloween.

Saw 1,2 and 3 were not timed around halloween. Texas Chain Saw the beginning has been out for a while. Yes there are bunch coming out on Halloween.

Yes I am too much a scaredy cat to actually see the movies.

they are released in waves. there's been a resurgence in past years, but they've never really gone away.

i have a book on horror movies that ends around 1975 - it's loaded with them.

there is a resurgence. ..mainly because the can be made for cheap (relatively cheap compared to other movies) and the possible profit margin is much more likely. . .

a lot of horror remakes. . .
