Does anyone know if an iPhone 6, when used on a Verizon MVNO, retains MMS? - deckeda - 12-04-2017 I'm out of contract but Verizon's 5GB plan costs $84 after fees & taxes. I have to use a Verizon network. My monthly data usage hovers around 1GB, I think. The old 2GB plan was OK unless I travelled, which was rare. Asking because when I had my iPhone 4 on an AT&T MVNO (Pure Talk) MMS (text images) never worked to/from Android users. I think it only worked with other iPhone users because of the iMessage intermediary. It had never been a problem when originally on AT&T proper. Apparently it was an "Apple thing" and Pure Talk's special config file couldn't overcome the limitation. Meaning, the major carriers had intimate knowledge of the phone the MVNO lacked, and Apple had no interest/incentive to help them. You'll just be getting blue or green messages depending on recipient's phone. == Re: Does anyone know if an iPhone 6, when used on a Verizon MVNO, retains MMS? - deckeda - 12-05-2017 Correction: The 5GB plan I'm on is $35 + $20. I was looking at a messed-up bill when I read that yesterday. |
