HomePod owners: Nice collection of tips and tricks - pinkoos - 02-27-2018 I'm loving my HomePod and it's great integration with Apple Music. Here's a nice list of tips and tricks to help you get more out of your HomePod: https://www.macworld.com/article/3253953/home-tech/homepod-tips-tricks.html I especially like this nugget: "Listen by Activity, Mood, or Genre Apple Music maintains curated playlists organized by activities and moods. It’s a great way to discover new music and queue up tracks that fit what you’re doing in your home. Try saying, “Play some cardio music” or “Play chill music.” Okay, so maybe you knew you could do that. But did you know you could use these in combination? Try “Play lively indie music,” for example. Here’s a list of activities and moods to get you started: Activities Bedtime Break Up Cardio Cooking Dancing Dinner Party Meditating Party Studying Waking Up Moods Affectionate Blue Chill Lively Safe for Kids Soothing Unwind Upbeat Warm Whimsical Genres Alternative Blues Classic Rock Classical Country Dance Electronic Hard Rock Hip-Hop Indie Jazz Kids Latino Metal Oldies Pop R&B Reggae Rock Soul World There are lots of subgenres of music, too, such as k-pop, Chicago blues, smooth jazz, and zydeco." Re: HomePod owners: Nice collection of tips and tricks - tronnei - 02-27-2018 So far all I've asked my HomePod to play is specific artists or albums. I'll have to give some of those a try. Re: HomePod owners: Nice collection of tips and tricks - Rick-o - 02-28-2018 Thanks for the tips. I wasn't aware of some of those commands. I'm also digging my HomePod a lot. This thing literally rocks!! I think we'll see SIRI improving as time passes. I can easily see myself grabbing another HP (or two) down the road, once they get the software up to speed. Re: HomePod owners: Nice collection of tips and tricks - pinkoos - 02-28-2018 Yes, I think the hardware is there, just the software needs some work and that can be easily done via updates. I had been waiting for this for so long. I wanted something tightly integrated with Apple Music. In fact, I went so far as to sell almost my entire Sonos setup once I got the HomePod. |
