someone at work mentioned 3D printing and I asked what kind of printer they have, they said no, they don't own a printer, they use this web site.

The way it works you upload the 3D files and get quotes from multiple people, and you can choose someone in your local area and make local pickup or along your commute, or someone halfway across country who will mail this to you. They also have now 3D metal printing, and that also have a web site about CNC although I forgot that URL.
