All parking fees include applicable tax." Amusement Park: An American invention designed to extract all available money from hordes of exhausted parents. Re: The Mouse drops free parking... D-World adds Parking $$ to hotel profit - Acer - 03-14-2018 What, the $8.00 soda vending doesn't have enough margin to cover parking? We took the family once, like a pilgrimage to the American Mecca. Paid a lot. Told the kids, this is it...our one visit. Make the best of it. And we had a wonderful time; it is among my favorite memories of my family. Re: The Mouse drops free parking... D-World adds Parking $$ to hotel profit - jdc - 03-14-2018 Dont all "nice" hotels have a fee to park? My wife and kids love D- Land (me not so much) -- we usually go 2X a year, once in March and in November. But we would never stay in a D hotel, prices are off the rails. We bring drinks, snacks and lunch into the park. and have dinner in downtown disney. Far cheaper. We usually stay someplace 15-20 minutes away, and pay $120 a night. Last couple of times we have been at a W starwood hotel and before that a Marriot in Long beach on the ocean. I could see if you did the whole shebang with it as a one time thing... The tickets kill me, its like $800 for 3 peeps, with a 2 day/2 park. Re: The Mouse drops free parking... D-World adds Parking $$ to hotel profit - Ombligo - 03-14-2018 First time I went to Disney World in 1973 it was $15pp. The last Time I went was in 2003. That time it was with a free pass for the family. I'm glad I didn't pay the second time because nothing much had changed. If I have to pay for a theme park, it will be Busch Gardens - better rides, live animals, smaller crowds, and cheaper. Re: The Mouse drops free parking... D-World adds Parking $$ to hotel profit - 3d - 03-15-2018 We (family of 4) just went to Disney (FL) in December. Stayed onsite, with food plan and park tickets. With RT plane tickets, and all of us sleeping in the same room, it still cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $7000+ for 5 days. That's more than my 10-day honeymoon in Hawaii ![]() Re: The Mouse drops free parking... Wife and kids are going to D-land April 5-8, with a 2 day dual park visit. $800 for tickets. $500 for hotel and prob few hundred more for food and what not. My wife says its not a "vacation" but a "trip". Apparently $2000 is the new "trip" budget. Vase vs VĂ¡se? |
