I heard a logical explanation of why time goes faster as you age: The same amount of time becomes a smaller and smaller percentage of your overall life and seems to pass more quickly.

Yeah, I've heard that too, but it doesn't really explain the mechanism to me.

Supposedly, it's the brain disregarding moments more or less identical to those that you've already experienced many times.

When they expose people to new experiences, their perception of time slows.
