Bluetooth Speaker w/FM? - Rolando - 09-30-2018
Are there any good Bluetooth Speakers with an FM Tuner. Something portable but not tiny, with a built in battery, but with an FM Tuner.
I'm looking to upgrade my wife's Bedroom TV. Ideally, I'd put in a soundbar/subwoofer with bluetooth so she can stream music.
She wan't a bluetooth speaker as well, something along the lines of a JBL Boom. Because she's a girl, I'd probably get the JBL Pulse or Sony XB31, really good sound for the size, portable and lights up. Has an Aux In, so I would upgrade the TV sound as well.
No FM Tuner? I can get a bluetooth in on a cheap Boombox, or a good one from Sony, but they have the same issue, require old style C batteries.
So why no boomboxes like the Sony with built in batteries? My budget for this is about $100-$150. What I want is:
Sounds Good
Bluetooth
Built In Battery
FM Tuner
Aux In
Lights are optional
I can't find anything that has the top 5

There are a dozen 'Emergency' radios that have everything but the AUX input/Bluetooth input. I only found one with "Bluetooth" but I'm not sure if it's input from a phone, or output to BT headphones. I also can't vouch for the audio quality.

AN Echo Dot can stream many FM stations and can also double as an alarm clock

Seems that there's some overlap in what you and I are both looking for...
I'd like to replace my ancient power-hungry analog Yamaha receiver and tower-speakers with a nice compact soundbar, but I use the radio a lot and want Bluetooth as well.
I can't find a decent soundbar that has both Bluetooth and a FM radio. The only stuff I've found on Amazon with both has RCA/phono jacks, no digital audio (TOSlink) or HDMI input.
But my bad luck may be your good luck. When I search for "Bluetooth FM soundbar" on Amazon, a lot of cheap Chinese soundbar-shaped portable speakers and alarm clocks pop up. Some as little as $20 bucks. Try it, yourself.

That would be good. But fm seems to be a mysterious technology to the demographic for Bluetooth speakers.
