IPhone battery max capacity % - when to think about replacement? - Wags - 01-03-2019 My iPhone 6 says 94%, seems to go a day or two under normal usage. The peak performance says I had a shutdown so I disabled whatever it was doing. Re: IPhone battery max capacity % - when to think about replacement? - Gareth - 01-03-2019 Apple says 80%, but mine was at 86% and tested fine but would die in 2/3 of a day, so I had it replaced (also to get it done under the $29 offer). So I’d say there’s a bit of a case by case consideration needed. But 2/3 of a day was not normal for the phone. It took a nosedive at some point in the last 6 months that I was using it daily. Re: IPhone battery max capacity % - when to think about replacement? - RAMd®d - 01-03-2019 Apple says 80% This. But battery science like many, isn't an exact science. Or, maybe it's because of variables in sourcing components, construction, or care and feeding. My 5s got down to 82% before I noticed diminished capacity (LOL). However, I almost never let the charge get down to 50%, and never willingly.
