ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - pqrst - 02-27-2019 I was thinking of using gazelle to buy an iPhone. Anyone used them? Any other suggestions of where to go? Thanks Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - Dennis S - 02-27-2019 https://swappa.com/ Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - Ombligo - 02-27-2019 Second on Swappa Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - Michael - 02-27-2019 Third on Swappa. Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - MrNoBody - 02-27-2019 swappa or get extremely lucky on ebay (misspellings, wrong category, etc.). ![]() Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - bazookaman - 02-27-2019 I recommend swappa as well. I've bought several phones off there and never had an issue. Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - pqrst - 02-27-2019 Thanks for the advice. Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - 3d - 02-27-2019 I suggest eBay only if you know what you're doing. With an experienced eye you can score a great Buy It Now deal with Applecare. Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - Bernie - 02-27-2019 Gazelle I have bought from Gazelle a couple of times and always been happy. Re: ISO: buying used iPhones sites suggestions - Carm - 02-27-2019 I have used Swappa many times, I have only had 1 problem. the only problem I had was with a newbie who didn’t know what condition to rate it and didn’t take good pictures, I took a chance and it ended up costing me return shipping. The return was easy. That was my fault for not asking for better pictures. It would have been a steal at the price listed. Swappa, like eBay buy it now. People price their phones at what they feel they are valued at with accessories. Tends to have more photos of phone or you can ask for more. You can ask about battery health if it’s not already posted. Swappa keeps track of what a particular phone sold for on their site. You can haggle with the seller sometimes. They have three ratings Gazelle buys phones cheap at kiosks/through website (at half or less than half of what they sell them for) and sells them around eBay final price or higher. Reminds me of a used car lot. Phone condition based on the questions they ask when they buy from sellers. (One question for example: can you see scratches “at arms length”). You can’t see phone as a buyer, you rely completely on them. They have coupons sometimes to get better deals. That being said, I dont like their business model so I haven’t purchased from them. Although I do send their name out there as an option for buyers because others have had success there. They have three ratings. Edits for clarification and spelling |
