Healthcare: House votes to preserve pre-existing conditions - deckeda - 05-10-2019

All but 4 Republicans went along.

“183 Republicans voted against it — including [liars] who vowed in 2018 that they would protect people with pre-existing conditions.”

It won’t pass the Senate, and Trump would veto it if they did, but at least it squarely identifies who actually wants pre-existing conditions covered.

Ooh, 7 whole states? (and that data would be coming where?)

Republicans talk about lowered costs. They reliably fail to talk about lowered healthcare benefits, which is all the weakened Section 1332 offers.

Being progressive means seeking to improve the quality of life for all. Being regressive means working very hard to ensure more people are less healthy.

Don't be on the wrong side of history.

"Repeal parts of"

Which parts would it repeal? Does it repeal the parts that have led to successful reinsurance programs, or to the parts that allow sub-standard policies?

And why must it be an "either/or" choice with border security? Because the Republicans have no plan to replace the ACA, so they couldn't talk about that.

I love the "disaster" part. Ten years into ACA, and we still have THE BEST ECONOMY IN HISTORY, people are saying.

Brian Babin is a cookie-cutter canker. His outrage at government taking over healthcare is to wildly ignore how shitty it currently is, with insurers avoiding care and overcharging for the privilege.

Meanwhile, it’s liars like him who work and have worked to sabotage the ACA and then “helpfully” highlight its flaws.
