Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - steveroberts - 05-25-2019 Hi Friends, I've got a few pictures shot on my Sony NEX-3, that I'd like to print at 20" x 30", then frame. Since these are for home use, I don't need super high quality. Questions: Is foam mounting the best way to get the prints to lie flat in the frame? Or is there a better way? Is there a recommended online service that can print and mount at a reasonable price? Any other considerations? Thanks very much for your assistance, SR Re: Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - max - 05-25-2019 Have you thought about having them printed on canvas?..... Re: Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - steveroberts - 05-25-2019 I'd consider it. Just needs to fit in the frames I've got. Re: Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - jdc - 05-25-2019 costco. they usually do a nice job and farily inexpensive. canvas 20 x 30 with a frame is about $80? Frames should have some sort of a hard backing already inside... just need a print. Im not 100% if you have a frame, or need to get a frame. First post sounds like you need to get a frame, second one sounds like you have one already. I have frames, just need to get the prints "mounted" so they won't be wavy once framed. SR Re: Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - jdc - 05-26-2019 YOu could just get your own foamcore from the dollar store and some spray glue. Dont worry about getting it straight on the foamcore, just make sure its smooth with no bubbles. Use a metal yardstick and knife and cut the foam core to the edges of the poster. Done it a million times. Re: Advice Needed: Printing "Posters" from Personal Photos - steveroberts - 05-26-2019 Thanks, jdc. What is the technique for making sure no bubbles? Difficult to accomplish?
