printing from a .pdf - wurm - 10-10-2019 Quick question. I have a .pdf of an owner's manual. It's about 300 pages long, only about 20 of which I really care about. When I print them on my home Brother laser printer, the pictures aren't really clear. For that matter, they're not remarkably sharp viewing the .pdf, either. The .pdf is 37MB. Would having it "professionally" printed out likely have it looking any clearer? Re: printing from a .pdf - Rolando - 10-10-2019 The pdf might have been made for screen viewing --72dpi? Re: printing from a .pdf - Drew - 10-10-2019 If unclear on your screen, unlikely that you can print any more clear. However, a photo printer (for example inkjet) would probably be more clear than the laser printer. Do you have a place nearby that you can take the file and print on some kind of photo printer? Re: printing from a .pdf - Markintosh - 10-10-2019 My wife is still a teachers and she downloads and prints a lot of PDFs from various teacher sites. It pains me to say this but I had to install Acrobat Reader on her MacBook for some of them to print correctly. Preview just has challenges at times. I hate to install anything Adobe, or Microsoft for that matter, but in order to keep Mrs Markintosh happy, I did it. So before trying anything else that requires buying new hardware or paying someone else to print it, try using Acrobat Reader with the PDF.
