The Man Who Killed Hitler... - RAMd®d - 01-01-2020

...and then the Bigfoot is how I started the new year.

A thoroughly enjoyable movie. A gem, actually.

I'd say a little more schmaltzy than cheesy.

I'm OK with schmaltz.

Thank you for that, Lizabeth.

And the New Year?

It's looking good so far.

WOOT!

Re: The Man Who Killed Hitler... - Will Collier - 01-01-2020

It's quite a good movie. I'm not crazy about the current "subverting audience expectations" fad in Hollywood, but this one pulled it off very well. Goes without saying that Sam is great in it (because he's great in everything).

It deserved it.

I chose not to let my thank you be buried down the page.

"subverting audience expectations"

As I've seen zero mention of the movie prior to Lizabeth's recommendation, I had no expectations.

And with a title like The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot, I don't know what expectations a viewer would feel they should have or how they could feel they've been mislead.

But- I didn't see how the movie was billed, or any trailers.

I have a real problem with trailers created/edited to show the movies as one genre (I don't mind if the movie does it), when it's really another.

Like showing a trailer for Precious as a comedy.

Actually, as wrong as that would be, it would make me POMTL.
