Re: Nine-year-old daughter was proud of her nurse mother - GGD - 04-20-2020
to find that she was trying to spell "HERO".
Re: Nine-year-old daughter was proud of her nurse mother - rjmacs - 04-20-2020 I got it just before scrolling down.... Want to put that spoiler in a box, GGD? Re: Nine-year-old daughter was proud of her nurse mother - Ted King - 04-20-2020 I see a lot of chalk drawings and writings on sidewalks as I'm walking my dog around the neighborhood. A lot of "peace" and "love" (and pictures of hearts and peace signs*) and "thank you health care workers". Portland does have a lot of hippie influence but I imagine similar things are happening elsewhere. There's also a lot of hopscotch designs. There seems to be a contest among some of the hopscotch enthusiasts to make longer and longer hopscotch designs. I passed by one that was over 400 squares long (they are numbering them as they go) several days ago. Every day I went by it was longer - 500's, 700's and they finally decided to stop at 1000. There is also a lot of teddy bears and stuffed animals in windows around here. Parents are taking their kids on teddy bear hunts as they walk around the neighborhood where the kids look for and count the number of teddy bear and stuffed animals they see. *One house has several pink and red camellia trees in their backyard and they are taking camellia blossoms and making large heart shapes in their front yard with them - alternating days where they replace them with fresh ones that make a peace sign.
