Real-time air traffic tracker - SDGuy - 05-06-2020

Backstory: the F-35s from MCAS Miramar were quite audible last week, so I went searching for an app that would let me see air traffic in the area.

This led me to Flight Radar 24. How very cool: real time air traffic map, covering pretty much everywhere.
I also installed their app on my tablet. While bored during lunch today, I decided to play around with it and happened to stumble across an interesting flight pattern being made by a Cessna 172. It certainly looks like a complex series of turns - I don't know what such manuevers are meant to accomplish... :dunno:

There’s also a cool shortcut you can try

I wouldn't if the app is in fact real time.

OAK had/has a webpage that lets one see aircraft in OAK's airspace, but it's delayed by 10min.

I'm wondering if this app does the same.

My guess on that Cessna pattern is a student pilot and instructor.
