Horse riding in the centre of historic York - voodoopenguin - 05-28-2020

The lockdown over here meant that most town and city centres became almost deserted at times. If everything is shut there is no need for most people to venture in. My sister-in-law took the opportunity to ride one of her horses into the middle of York from where they live on the outskirts of the city. A rare sight these days although of course years ago it would be a horse traffic jam. If you watch the video then turn the sound up to hear the clip clop on cobble stones.

So cool.
My husband and I went to York many years ago. It was much more crowded. Smile

That's awesome! I'll have to send that video to my cousin, she's a Morgan horse owner, trainer and breeder.

This is my cousin.

Sorry about that.
Our Grandfather caught her riding the farm mule when she was like 5 yo. She's my eldest cousin. Don't really want to copy and paste it all without permission. I thought the site allowed a couple free articles per month.

Scroll to page 39 on this, her name is Joyce.

Thanks for sharing, Mr. Penguin! How pleasant it was to listen to the clip-clops down quiet streets. I've only been to the UK a few times, but York was one of my favorite places. Confusedmiley-signs001:
