How do you install driver software on a Mac? - freeradical - 05-29-2020
I just picked up a graphics tablet, and I need to install a driver.
I haven't done this on a Mac for like 20 years at least.
I assume that I should start by going to the manufacturer's web site and downloading the latest driver instead of using the one on the Micro SD card that's in the tablet.
After that, I just don't know!

Okay, that was pretty easy I guess. Installs like any other software, but there is nothing in the system preferences to open the driver. You have to click on it in the applications folder to open it up.

Drivers load at startup or when a device is connected.
Anything in the Applications folder is just another application. Presumably installed along with the driver.

Wacom? search the tablet type on their site, install, and go.
It adds a preference pane, which loads a Wacom app.
