Given the current climate I feel certain he will select a woman of color, and someone a few decades younger than himself. There are a lot of talented women who fit that bill. Can't wait to see who makes the cut.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's great that we have an excess of good, qualified candidates for this position, including women of color.
Me personally, the more I'm hearing from Ms. Keisha, the more I like her. But really, any of them would be great.

Now we wait for the backlash over who was left off the list. I'm also wondering if yesterday's Atlanta shooting will effectively eliminate Atlanta Mayor Kiesha Bottoms from further consideration.

One potential issue for Mayor Bottoms is that her husband is a VP at Home Depot, whose founder Bernie Marcus is a major Republican donor/Trump supporter/social conservative/anti-gay activist.
I think he'd need to quit that job if she gets the nod.

Yes, I saw that too, but it wouldn't be the first case of a "mixed marriage" in terms of politics. I agree though that the best thing would be for him to quit.

If the poll numbers show that picking Demings could guarantee a Florida win without hurting any of the other swing states, that might be the single best choice. Hard to say at this point without a nearly overwhelming amount of information (like 1,200 per state random likely 2020 voters that also voted in 2016).

I'm sure he'll see that husband to VP of the United States is a lot better than VP at Home Depot.
Edit: Bottoms is in the crucible right now, especially with the latest murder and her police chief's resignation. If she handles it well, she may secure herself the candidacy... Bringing Georgia further toward a blue November would be huge - it's a another big advantage of Stacey Abrams.
