Pismo (Target mode) -> G5 -> FW external = 4 mb/sec? - sscutchen - 12-20-2006 I'm running a backup from my Pismo (in target mode) using SuperDuper on my PMac to a 80GB disk image I created on an external FW drive attached to the PMac. The Pismo is connected to the FW400 port on the front of the PMac. The FW external is connected to a FW port on the back. It's only running at 4mb/sec. This seems slow. Is it? Any ideas? Re: Pismo (Target mode) -> G5 -> FW external = 4 mb/sec? - mattkime - 12-20-2006 It is slow. Thats Target Disk Mode. Re: Pismo (Target mode) -> G5 -> FW external = 4 mb/sec? - hal - 12-20-2006 Original hard drive? Those could only go about 10 max without any over head. Re: Pismo (Target mode) -> G5 -> FW external = 4 mb/sec? - sscutchen - 12-21-2006 No . it's a new 100GB drive |
