AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - N-OS X-tasy! - 09-08-2020 ...by PC Magazine: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2020/09/atts-current-5g-is-slower-than-4g-in-nearly-every-city-tested-by-pcmag/ Sorry, Lily -- we still love ya, though. ![]() Re: AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - davemchine - 09-08-2020 The USA isn't even making use of 4G speeds. There's no reason to build a 5G network except for marketing purposes. Just make 4G work correctly. https://bgr.com/2016/02/04/lte-speed-test-comparison-global-2016/ Re: AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - jdc - 09-08-2020 poor lily. https://movieweb.com/att-lily-milana-vayntrub-online-sexual-harrassment-statement/ Re: AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - bazookaman - 09-08-2020 davemchine wrote: C'mon now. I work with a national-level expert on all things RF, he told me it'd be 2022 at the earliest before legitimate 5G is working in the US (good chance it's not until 2023), and that the carriers haven't even fully implemented LTE yet. In English, I'm pretty sure that means that, the general bulk of Verizon customers will NOT see TRUE 5G service for YEARS. Re: AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - Cary - 09-08-2020 What AT&T is advertising as 5F is not true 5G - more like 4.5G. Wouldn't pay much more for 5G. Re: AT&T 5G slower than 4G in nearly every city tested... - decay - 09-09-2020 ATT LTE blows near me, and it's a major metropolitan area (Allentown PA). It's so bad in spots, nothing will load. Looking at T-Mobile once the new iPhones are announced. |
