Does WD Passport work on MacBook USB? - Mr Curious - 12-29-2006 I need an external HD to carry when traveling for portfolio and presentation materials. Something around 100GB w/o power supply would be great. I read a review somewhere that the WD Passport doesn't have enough bus power. True? Any other recommendations? Thanks! Re: Does WD Passport work on MacBook USB? - space-time - 12-29-2006 it does not work with PowerBook, since PB cannot provide enough power through one single USB port. there are dual USB cables that get power from 2 USB ports. I know for sure that it works with iBook G4 (newer than the PowerBook g4) and I have *read* that it works with MacBook and MacBook Pro. You can read more reviews on Amazon. Re: Does WD Passport work on MacBook USB? - Tofer - 12-30-2006 Works great on Macbook (and iBook). -Tofer Re: Does WD Passport work on MacBook USB? - jdc - 12-30-2006 save yourself the trouble and spend a little extra on something with firewire, then you will never have to worry =) |
