Does WD Passport work on MacBook USB? - Mr Curious - 12-29-2006

I need an external HD to carry when traveling for portfolio and presentation materials. Something around 100GB w/o power supply would be great. I read a review somewhere that the WD Passport doesn't have enough bus power. True?
Any other recommendations? Thanks!

it does not work with PowerBook, since PB cannot provide enough power through one single USB port. there are dual USB cables that get power from 2 USB ports.

I know for sure that it works with iBook G4 (newer than the PowerBook g4) and I have *read* that it works with MacBook and MacBook Pro. You can read more reviews on Amazon.

save yourself the trouble and spend a little extra on something with firewire, then you will never have to worry =)
