If I have an account with Yahoo (like petej@yahoo.com), can I use Mail to look at my mail in the Yahoo account?
If so, what are the settings I need in the Mail account?

I believe you have to pay for Yahoo's premium mail service in order to get POP access
It's not a matter of Mail not being able to handle it but a case of Yahoo not allowing it without an upgrade
On the other hand there are other free web mails that allow POP access (GMail for one)
Edit - it appears it's $20 a year for POP access on Yahoo
