Re: Does PayPal protect from buying bad software on eBay? - Michael - 12-31-2006 In the two times I've run into unresolvable problems with sellers on ebay and asked for Paypal to refund, they sent automated messages denying the refund. Each time I printed the response, took a couple of relevant pictures and sent it all with a letter to my credit card company asking for a chargeback. Both times they complied. I was searching for an honest/legal way to buy the pro version. Is there a way to report this eBay seller? Thanks Yes it's right at the bottom of the auction "Report This Item". You don't even have to be logged in. I've made it my mission to report the flood of G5's that keep showing up on there that are bogus auctions and yes I can tell which ones are real which ones are not. First no one has 40-50 G5's with either max RAM, 30" Display's, Quadro Cards or 1TB of storage. Then have it a private auction and you must email them before bidding and so on and so on. All starting at $99 on an account that has had no activity in months. Re: Does PayPal protect from buying bad software on eBay? - Grateful11 - 01-01-2007 I won this claim against me, the seller. I shipped to an old Laser Disc Player to an Unconfirmed Address and the buyer claimed product was not as described. Product was damaged in shipment. He said I shipped him a broken product. He wasn't willing to file on FedEx insurance for some strange reason, we're talking about a $15 item here. He filed with Paypal and because larger heavier items are photographed by me before shippng I had proof of packaging before shipment. His only option was to ship it to Paypal for inspection and he wasn't willing to do that. He lost. I talked to FedEx and they said because it was $15 item, they would paid off no questions asked. The box was severely damaged. I also had pictures of it playing a CD.
