The Congressional fight over Greene, Cheney - deckeda - 02-03-2021
Following McConnell, Thune, the guy from Indiana and maybe another senator I can’t remember are now attacking House member Greene. McCarthy has met with Greene and the committee group. Today House Republicans are scheduled to have their bitch session on whom to support.
Overall it’s a convenient distraction from next week’s agenda. The plan seems to be this, for Senate Republicans to take a stand against conspiracy theorists and fake news/no evidence types, except in one glaringly obvious case: their party leader and chief purveyor of filth and danger.
Hypocracy of galactic proportions, or just another week.
In light of that, it’s a curiosity of whether or not McCarthy will sideline Greene. She’ll still be there making noise and certainly doesn’t need to be on a committee to do so.
“Qevin” may just punt and force House Dems to take care of Greene so that he can simply blame them.

An honest statement in the Republican Party and you get knocked down. Anything outrageous is hunky dory. Will the public wake up? Will the Republicans wake up? Obstructionist Linsey Graham.
Just got back from grocery. New news now is the power has been divided and maybe Lindsey won’t be the head of Judicial. The Garland confirmation will go thru!!!!

Without a committee assignment, the congresswoman will literally have nothing to do except show up for floor votes. She will have no influence inside the body, and nothing to show her constituents except her twitter rants. Being a congressperson without a committee is like being a third-string kicker for Alabama with one leg. You get the uniform, but that's all.

Historically, the divide and conquer strategy has always been quite effective…

I dunno... twitter rants and a conservative record of voting is all that many constituents are looking for these days.

McCarthy finally admits that he is backing Cheney.
I think a california republican may be able to get away with it since EVERYONE in california hates Trump - even the republicans. Kevin is probably safe from an attack from the right.
