Can iOS updates change the behavior of apps? - freeradical - 02-13-2021

I updated to iOS 14 on my iPad a few days ago, and it has seemingly changed how GoodNotes works. I'm not at all happy with what has happened.

Here's what happened:

It used to be that when you created a new document, and clicked on the title, a large keyboard immediately appeared so the document could be named.

Now what happens, is that a tiny oval appears at the bottom of the screen, and I have to hit the symbol for a keyboard. After doing this, a VERY TINY keyboard that looks like it should be on a phone instead of a tablet appears. This absolutely does not make use of the real estate on an iPad. Additionally, the keyboard attempts to guess what you want to type. It's never correct.

Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards...

Check that you haven't installed a keyboard app and given it permission to take over for the native English keyboard.

It doesn't look like there have been any changes here. All I have are the English (US) keyboard and Emoji.

Not sure why it's hidden.

...But you can scale the keyboard up by touching the screen with two fingers and spreading them apart.

That doesn't work.

Sad

Did you put your fingers on the keyboard when you touched the screen?

Should have mentioned that you actually have to touch the on-screen keyboard with both fingers when you spread them to scale it up.
