FU:Brother L2700DW: Duplex Now Too Complex - graylocks - 02-16-2021 Following up on suggestions in this thread about my printer no longer duplexing I can report that all is well now though I don't exactly know why. I think perhaps these machines have become sentient. In system prefs I right-clicked and reset the printer settings which deleted my two printers completely. The laser was hooked up by ethernet cable; the ink jet was connected by USB. I went through the Add Printer routine and added the laser printer. That option included AirPrint. I then went to print from my iPhone which saw the laser printer I had added AND the inkjet that i hadn't added. I successfully duplex laser printed from my iphone and my iMac. I then tried printing from my iMac using the inkjet I hadn't officially added. The iMac went looking for the printer, found it, printed and when I checked system prefs the inkjet had been added to my printers. I also printed from my iphone to the inkjet. But, i wondered if I was really using the ethernet and USB connections. So I disconnected those cables only to discover I was perfectly able to print from either of those printers with my iphone or iMac. So even though in the past I have gone through tedious menus on both of those printers to connect to my wifi this time they connected themselves. That's why I think they've achieved sentience. They have deemed me incapable and taken matters into their own hands. Hope I don't do anything to piss them off.
