I don't know if anybody will lead Meal Team Six against Abbot to fight for higher taxes and let them under the thumb of the Federal power grid, assuming they ever recover from the 2021 Houstapocalypse and prosecutions for the January 6th sedition.

Abbott has already pledged state $$ to fix the power grid in Texas.
One way or another, Texans will pay - and I doubt those who made these terrible decisions to maximize $$ will not be held accountable.
As for the OP premise - it’s amazing. I have a day job where I was responsible for people impacted by changes in the immigration service and laws. I used to have to be on twitter every Fri evening because the prior administration would ALWAYS release immigration law changes on a late Fri afternoon and give as little as 48 hours to respond.
Two weekends on my life in the last six months were working with our legal team to coordinate with other institutions and literally send back legal briefs and fights.
Guess what I have done on Fri evenings the last month? Well, maybe I don’t want to hear your guesses. But guess what I HAVEN’T had to do? Watch social media for some horrible statement, proposed policy change or new interpretation of the law to be announced 5pm EST.

It's really frightening to consider where we'd be if Trump had won. By now he'd be moving forward with his real agenda - whatever that would be. And you know damned well that if he was alive, he'd be finding a way to get a third term.
