AEROPRESS for coffee, users? - Fritz - 01-09-2007

has anyone experienced the Aeropress? I've been doing some reading and interested in it cause I hate drip when compared to espresso. This seems to split the difference.

I think a lot of people on the coffeegeek forums liked it.

Gotta have patience with that forum though. It can be a tad slow loading at times.

The Aeropress is nice but have you considered the French Press?

Of course, if you're "hardcore" there's the Clover 1s for $11K.

It looks like a French Press with an air gap between the press and the grounds.

Pushes the water through the grounds and a filter using air
rather than
Pushes the grounds from the water using a filter.

Not sure how that would be any different except maybe easier to clean.

it only brews for 30 seconds, that's less than my automatic Krups machine...
