Any Instant Oatmeal Cookie Recipes? - spacescape - 01-10-2007
We have several "ORIGINAL" favored instant oatmeal that no one (My Wife and I) are eating. We would rather have flavors. So, anyone know what we can due with the instant oatmeal. Anyone have a lazy-man instant oatmeal recipe?

I think the instant oatmeal would not make a very good cookie but why not add it to a regular cookie recipe? May only a couple of envelopes for a recipe of regular oatmeals or the corn flake cookies?

Reposting my post from an earlier cookie thread, as this is a pretty good cookie:
1 cup butter (use real)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups of instant oats
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda, salt. Add oatmeal and chips. Drop onto cookie sheet by the teaspoon. Bake at 350ยบ for approx 10 minutes on the middle rack, or until evenly brown.

Mix one package of each in bowl.
Close eyes.
Eat or starve.
