Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - Dennis S - 06-26-2021 and you are a Democrat? Re: Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - vision63 - 06-26-2021 Local Democratic Party apparatuses. Local Clubs --> County Democratic Party -- > State Democratic Party. You should still express your concerns to your elected officials though. They're "supposed" to serve you as well. Re: Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - PeterB - 06-26-2021 I have contacted at least three different Republican politicians on separate occasions, mostly to voice my opinion about some of the things that have happened especially in the last 1-2 years (prior to the 2020 election). Especially I have done so if it was a matter that should have transcended party ... for example, the votes on Dump, voter rights, etc. At least one of them (Bill Cassidy) contacted me back: https://forums.macresource.com/read.php?2,2602009,2602009#msg-2602009 (Edit: that letter from Sen. Cassidy is really worth a re-read, especially considering the things that have happened in the time since it was written. I really have to give him credit, even though I disagree completely with his politics. He's also shown that he's willing to cross party lines to get stuff done; including the recent infrastructure deal with Biden, I noticed that he was one of the Republicans standing together with Biden at the press conference where it was announced.) Re: Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - SteveG - 06-26-2021 Do it in person and since they approve, carry a non-concealed gun if regs permit it. Re: Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - RgrF - 06-26-2021 I'd write to Feinstein but she's still responding to constituent letters from 2010. Hard to keep track of those Council fellas what with their revolving jailhouse door - with a little luck the county sheriff will be the next indictee! Registered Independent but formerly a Republican. I've never heard of him. I knew they were making a mistake electing Alex Villanueva. He was basically a guy with a grudge. Former Sheriff James McDonnell may have been a bit slow and boring, but he was the right kind of moderator needed after the Lee Baca drawn out adventure. That was a mess. Re: Who do you present you political concerns, wishes, and ideas to if all your repa are Republicans - RgrF - 06-26-2021 Lee Baca (may he rot in jail) was elected as a reform sheriff was he not? |
