I drink Almond Milk/Juice not sure how these companies get away with calling any of these anything other than Juice. I prefer Nature's Harvest or Aldi's Friendly Farms.
The dairy industry has done a terrible job of combating the drink alternatives.
Milk: noun
an opaque white fluid rich in fat and protein, secreted by female mammals for the nourishment of their young.
"a healthy mother will produce enough milk for her baby"

Like the headline suggests, they could add "substitute" after "Milk." Pringles can't call their product "chips," they have to say "crisps."
Plant based meat. Why do they get to call it meat instead of meat substitute?

The secondary definition for milk includes from plant sources such as nuts, and that usage goes back about 600 years. So from common usage the companies making the various milk substitutes are on much firmer ground than you seem to think.
