The basic 10.2” 9th-gen 64GB iPad is out of stock everywhere. I’d like to pick one up.
What sage advice can be found on this forum? I’m not desperate but hopeful.

It appears to be in stock at AAPL, and if I were to order one, I would get it Friday the 3rd.

Lucky! I'm in Kansas City and there's nothing available nearby. If I order today, the Apple online store would deliver January 18-24. Yikes.

Hmm, I just checked again, and it appears I was looking at the shipping date for the AAPL pencil.
Delivery for the iPad is from Dec 17-27. However, AAPL always seems to beat these kinds of dates. My M1 Mini arrived almost two weeks early.
The pickup date for this iPad is today...

Sales of certain electronics have been very strong. I wonder if people are preparing for the worst.

I bought at Verizon store and was told end of December. We will see!
