eBay question (buying from UK) - wurm - 01-27-2022 There's an item I'm considering buying from a reputable seller/company in the UK. The item cost is just under $60 and shipping to U.S. is listed as $16.xx. The total is still the best I've found anywhere. My question is, am I going to get hit with any extra fees or taxes by buying from the UK? Does anyone here know from experience? Thanks. Re: eBay question (buying from UK) - S. Pupp - 01-27-2022 I've ordered from the UK many times over the past 20 years, as high as $100, and have never had to pay a customs fee. From wise.com, "The minimum threshold for import tax is $800. Goods valued below that are not subject to duty." Re: eBay question (buying from UK) - wurm - 01-27-2022 Thanks for that info. Good to know. Re: eBay question (buying from UK) - d4 - 01-27-2022 When I've purchased things on UK eBay, sometimes the listed shipping price to the US is incorrect. I would double check with the seller and confirm the shipping price to be sure. I've not encountered any extra fees or taxes. Re: eBay question (buying from UK) - testcase - 01-27-2022 Are you sure the S/H is in U.S.$ and NOT in Pounds Sterling? (it makes a difference). Re: eBay question (buying from UK) - wurm - 01-28-2022 Looks like it is. US $16.87 United States Standard Shipping from outside US |
