Lowe's will open Petco shops inside some stores - rgG - 01-27-2022 https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/27/lowes-will-open-mini-petco-shops-inside-some-stores.html “Lowe's will open Petco shops inside select stores in Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina as part of a pilot program. The addition of pet merchandise is part of Lowe's strategy to become a one-stop shop for everything homeowners may need, from kitchen appliances to throw pillows.” I am just not seeing this as making a lot of sense for either company. I guess it will give all those people who bring their dogs to the store an excuse for doing so, but other than that, I don’t get it. Re: Lowe's will open Petco shops inside some stores - Lemon Drop - 01-27-2022 Last time I was in Lowes here in SC it was filled with dogs. May as well be Petco. Since they don't sell food I think it's fine. Re: Lowe's will open Petco shops inside some stores - mattkime - 01-27-2022 Petco should have a plumbing aisle. --- I'd prefer a simple, good hardware store. Not that there's a Lowes around here. --- I've never understood why hardware stores don't also sell beer. Re: Lowe's will open Petco shops inside some stores - Acer - 01-27-2022 I don't need Lowes for throw pillows or pet supplies. I need them to have hardware and lumber and tools. Heavy appliances are great, too. Any space given up for pets means less space for that one uncommon home repair or improvement product that I do need. Re: Lowe's will open Petco shops inside some stores - Dennis S - 01-27-2022 I want a place where you can buy one nail instead of a $3.49 blister pack. |
