new to me root beer - Fritz - 04-20-2022

probably only in the near NE right now.
sugar based, not HFCS. Nice flavor, not too fizzie or sweet.
Like Virgils or Stewarts, but more intersting flavor.
YMMD.
They make beer too, but I've never had that.

I'm an off the shelf kind of guy and like Barq's and I.B.C. root beers.

Swiftwater Brewing makes this, they say no alcohol, no caffeine.

Have not tried this, but for me it will be hard to beat an ice cold A + W Root Beer.

Prefer Sugar-Free Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer, in root beer it's Stewart's.

fyi, Barq's is a Coca Cola brand; A&W and Hire's are Keurig-Dr Pepper products.

I can't seem to find a list of retailers/cities that might stock it. Another issue is that my local waste company makes it enough of a PITA to segregate bottles that I usually only buy drinks in cans.

used to see IBC & Sioux City, not of late.
Sparkys looks like a possible, but I doubt I'll see around here in the near future.
When I used to tour, we'd find real good local stuff in the mid-west. Usually sarsaparilla, but never out of the local area, much like I'd think Ithaca is. Surprised it made it to LI.
Stewarts has been my usual of what I can easily get, but Ithaca is a little more interesting.
