Star Trek: Picard's Final Season Gets Premiere Date — See Jean-Luc Reunite With His Enterprise Pals in New Teaser
....Ah… it feels just like old times in a new sneak peek at Star Trek: Picard‘s final season.
Paramount+ unveiled a new teaser for the upcoming third and final season, along with a premiere date: Season 3 will debut Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, with new episodes airing weekly. The announcements were made by series star Patrick Stewart himself at the annual “Star Trek Day” celebration on Thursday.
In the teaser, Jean-Luc gets a distress call from his old flame Dr. Beverly Crusher: “We need your help.” We see what looks like Starfleet headquarters crumbling into rubble (!) as Jean-Luc consults with his former right-hand man Will Riker. Jean-Luc doesn’t want to ask his old friends to put themselves in danger (“Since when?” Riker laughs), but his Enterprise crewmates Geordi La Forge, Worf, Crusher and Troi all assemble as Riker tells him: “Wherever you go, we go.”
They get a lift from Seven of Nine aboard the gleaming new starship the U.S.S. Titan — and they all zip off together to tackle their final mission. As first announced back in April, Next Generation alums LeVar Burton (Geordi), Michael Dorn (Worf) and Gates McFadden (Crusher) are joining the cast of Picard‘s final season, with Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis also returning as Riker and Troi, following their Season 1 appearance.

Gahhh. I don't even know where to begin with this one.
[spoiler=Spoiler, duh]
1) Seven is already a captain (or commander) ?? To our knowledge, she never even entered the academy. When last we heard in Season 2, Admiral Janeway would be making a plea for her to be able to join Starfleet, but there's quite a leap from joining Starfleet to becoming a Captain.
2) The U.S.S. Titan was supposed to have been Riker's ship when he got promoted to Captain, right at the end of ST:Nemesis. Did he give the ship up and now it's Seven's? That'd be fine, but they act as if this is a brand-new ship.
3) This doesn't look anything like the U.S.S. Titan design that was fan-created and canon-approved.
4) I hate to keep bringing this up, but Picard is NOT PICARD! He's a frickin' android or golem or synth or whatever the heck you want to call him! So them saying "I'll follow you wherever..." is pretty ridiculous!

I mean, maybe, if it means I don't have to watch any more of season 2. The first couple of episodes made me want to defect to the Borg.

Having read your post, I congratulate you on having a stronger stomach than mine. I bailed NuTrek in SPTP Season1. I'm sorry you were never rewarded with anything resembling good writing.
The sooner NuTrek is dead and buried the better.

I've tried watching Picard, SNW, Lower Decks, and I cannot stomach ANY of them.
SNW has just taken way too many liberties with rewriting Trek history and/or "reimagining" real Trek episodes. Watching LD for me was like watching an ADD version of badly written Trek episodes... the rapid-fire dialogue was just too much for me.
And let's not even go into the dumpster fire that's STD.

Surprisingly not awful as "tweener" cr@p goes, but the hologram captain thing is stupid and wrong.
