Watched as a building collapsed this morning. Now more than 1,600 dead.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck southern Turkey early Monday is tied as the strongest the country has experienced in more than 100 years of records, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Duration (which is a bigger factor in how bad quake is, relatively) was reported to be over a minute. That is bad. Northridge was 10-20 seconds. Alaska was 4-6 minutes!!!!!!!!!
