Trumps only witness in rape trial backs out - Ombligo - 05-03-2023
The only witness the Trumps attorney lined up to testify on his behalf has backed out.
Attorney Joe Tacopina told US District Judge Lewis Kaplan on Wednesday that psychologist Edgar Nace would be unable to testify as an expert witness because of unspecified health concerns.
That suggests Tacopina won’t be able to put on a defense case and that the trial will go straight from Carroll’s case to closing statements, with the jury starting deliberations possibly as early as Thursday.

What a shame, I heard he was going to be the bestest witness ever, his testimony was going to bring tears to the juror's eyes and was like nothing ever heard in a courtroom before.
It is going to be hard to win an appeal when you never put on a defense.
