Or it's a great fake … at a time in history when almost nothing can be completely and absolutely verified, there will always be doubt. His video rant seems just a little "over the top". Why would he care if these prisoners are fed into the meat grinder? Yet he's acting like they're his own family in the videos.
He's still getting his share of the profits - isn't he? And maybe that's where all of this comes from.

Why give a withdrawal date so far in advance? To give the Russians one more chance to line your personal pocket--um, I mean, support your troops. I'd say, leave before the Russians know what's happening, to prevent them from physically forcing you to stay, or abandoning you entirely.

Maybe he senses a Ukrainian counterattack is coming that he doesn't think he can win against so he's pulling back and claiming "it's not my fault!"

an 'I'll believe it when I see it' moment.

I’m taking this one at face value. The Russians were supposed to take over Bakmut months ago.

It’s not going well.

Mercenaries and going to be mercenaries.

They KNOW the history, and they've been shafted for thousands of years.

From the Napoleonic Wars, to WWI - a rich tradition was to underpay/forget the roles of mercenaries when a conflict ends, as it was always considered bad form to win by 'buying' your army.

In this case, the head of the mercenaries is now using modern ways to communicate - social media.

They are protecting themselves for their NEXT job.

Oh - and why list their departure date? I am 100% sure it's tied to a date in their current contract.

And it also tells everyone, 'we will be moving on for our next role after that'.

I predict Uncle Fester pulls Wagner out of Ukraine & sends them to Africa where he can actually make money.

Creating so many new cemeteries must be tiring. I think he's just trying to negotiate more money per dead body.
