Have an attractive 23 year old Apple Monitor that takes up a lot of room with my old G5. Received this as a gift from my old boss saving it from the electronics dumpster. I am turning in 2 RCA 32 inch CRT televisions and some beige 17 inch CRT monitors all for no charge. Thought the “tripod” studio monitor was beautiful. Should I put it in the pile or try to find it a home locally. I feel guilty dumping it and see them on eBay. Too heavy to ship.

in the past, I have found it impossible to unload a CRT of any kind in any condition.
Even flat screens older than # don't gather much interest.

Yeah, didn’t have much hope. A shame as it is in wonderful condition. If I had more room I would start my own museum.

I deposited the last CRT monitors and TV's I had in our local hazardous waste collection event a few years ago. Shed a brief tear for the age old Cathode Ray Tube.

Sad. Still haven’t parted with my orange clamshell and blueberry iMac. It’s art. It’s history. Of course I still have an SE and Pizza box so I am a hoarder.

You want to check your local Craigslist to see what CRTs are going for. Especially the ones that are curved tube fronts. There has been an uptick in interest in tube sets that people are hooking up to vintage game consoles (think game cubes, nintendos).

This summer, at least, my town is taking CRTs for free.
